Learn English from GCFLearnFree.org is a good way to introduce or practise vocabulary with children. There are the sections: Action, Art, Conversation, family, Financial, Food and Beverage, Geography, Government, Plants and Animals, Quantity, Questions, Science, Shapes and Colors. In each section there are four activities: Word Explorer, Text Explorer, Video Dictionary, Fill in the Blank. Among these activities which are numerous and interactive the teacher can choose the ones suitable for the lesson.

Paws in Jobland

Paws in Jobland is a great way to explore the world of jobs with kids. This fully interactive resource combines jobs presentations (images, descriptions), quizzes about various jobs, the test for students about choosing a suitable job. The information is really useful and colorfully designed. The teacher can use the information in class to present the material, to check students' knowledge, to have some fun-time at the lesson. The resource is good for students' individual work - preparing the project, doing homework.

The Literacy Shed

The Literacy Shed is a wonderful place with a great collection of visual resources suitable for the classroom. The author supports the teacher not only with the resource but also with his ideas how to use it in class. From the author: "The Literacy Shed is home to a wealth of visual resources that I have collected over my 10 year career as a primary school teacher.   I trawl youtube, vimeo and other sites looking for suitable resources to use in the sheds.
